I think Legos were my biggest obsession growing up. You could throw an assortment of Hot Wheels into the mix as well. Star Wars toys too. So far, Connor, who is about to turn three has gone through a pretty sizeable Thomas the Train obsession. So much so that we did a Day Out With Thomas not too long ago down in Essex, Connecticut. As you can see we saw the Blue Guy up close and even got a glimpse of Sir Topham Hatt himself.

I think we went at the right time too because Connor is now very excited about everything Cars. Right now at my house we are almost at a crisis point because there is only one pair of Cars socks for the little guy to wear. It is a long week once they hit the laundry basket! So I ask you parents out there, what is the next kid obsession I can expect to hit my house?

My wife says its time to tell you that our family is growing! I don’t know what exactly has kept me from talking about it on the radio sooner, but our daughter will be here in early June!  Those who listen a lot know that we already have a son, Connor who is almost 3. Unsure if he is ready to share the attention with a baby sister in the house but I am pretty sure he will be ok. In the meantime, Connor and I are bracing for the explosion of all things pink that will soon be bombarding our home! My wife, who is just wonderful, can sometimes go overboard on the baby items. So can my mother, inlaws, etc. We are still entertaining names and welcome all suggestions. No, we are not naming her Snooki. -Kevin

OK. The above picture might just be the worst ever taken of me. (That’s me on the left and Bear Country 95.3′s Amanda Jo on the right with Tommy from Taylor’s Tavern) But, it alright because it was taken at a great annual event here in Greenfield. It was this past weekend’s Bartender’s Shootout at Taylors. Big thanks goes out to Taylors for asking us at Bear Country 95.3 to host the event. One of the best parts of the whole afternoon is that it benefited the Wounded Warrior Project. A lot of money was raised which was nice and we found out that a couple of great local folks will be having the Ice Stars Event again this year at UMASS in April.
